ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center, Burlington, Vermont
Lake Champlain is a popular tourist attraction in Vermont, and there are many fun activities and attractions to enjoy along the waterfront in Burlington. ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center located at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain presents visitors with a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Lake Champlain Basin.
ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center features live animal exhibits and many hands-on presentations that invite children and adults to explore biology, geology and ecology. Freshwater as well as marine fish, reptiles, amphibians and other creatures are included in exhibits at ECHO Lake.
ECHO Lake also features exhibits focused on the geologic forces that shaped the Lake Champlain Basin, archaeological exploration and other natural history topics. Exhibits on tour that change three times a year ensure there is always something new, interesting and fun to discover at ECHO Lake.
Live animal feedings and demonstrations take place daily at ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center, as do short film presentations and special children’s programs.
